Twin Cities-based extreme metal quintet BLACKTHORNE presents their self-titled debut LP. Following an independent limited cassette release, the album has been expanded with new material, remixed and remastered, and will see an official release on LP and all digital platforms this October through a collective of independent labels: Nefarious Industries, JEMS, 5nakefork Records, and Damien Records.

The expanded LP format of Blackthorne takes the album’s initial ten songs and adds five new tracks not previously released on any format. All material was recorded and mixed by Bruce Woullet, remastered by Bill Henderson at Azimuth Mastering, and completed with art and layout by Mark McCoy.

"Fueled by historical occurrences leading up to the current times, BLACKTHORNE through their self-titled album, aim to stomp out all things they detest socially. Taking refuge under the political umbrella, the Twin Cities quintet bring with them a voice echoing through the underground at a deafening pitch through 'Poser Disposer', 'Choose Your Side of History' and 'The Minds Ear'. Fusing hardcore riffs, vocals and drumming with a bit of punk metal anti-society spice, BLACKTHORNE awaken the anger of all standing with them." - MetalBite

"The Twin Cities metallers have drawn a line in the sand and are ready to snuff out every misused tiki torch with their new song “Choose Your Side Of History.” Vocalist Travis Bos’s sharp voice cuts through Presidential double-speak, governmental gaslighting, and dogwhistles like a blade. Guitarist Steve Brooks and bassist Bob Eisenbise weave a catchy metallic blend to ward off those that wish to divide us while drummer Matt Seitzinger drives home the message that we will not go silently into the night. To paraphrase Thomas Hobbes, one of the founders of modern political thinking and author of Leviathan, this song is “nasty, brutish, and short.”" - Toilet ov Hell
